There’s nothing more important than your child’s health and wellbeing. At Green Leaf Dental, we care for your kids as if they were our own in our dedicated and separate kid-friendly zone. Our team always goes above and beyond to make sure every young patient’s visit is a positive experience that will set them up for a lifetime of optimal dental health.
Dr. Brittany Dean is our pediatric dentist! She received her dental degree from the University of Washington in 2012. Before deciding to specialize, she spent several years practicing general dentistry in a community health center and also worked as affiliate faculty at the University of Washington and Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. These experiences convinced her of the importance of dental disease prevention, starting in childhood. Two additional years of full-time training at the UW and Seattle Children's hospital equipped her with a master's degree in pediatric dentistry. That means she has in-depth knowledge of child growth and development, behavior management, and diseases specific to children. As a pediatric dentist, she loves getting to know babies, toddlers, teens and their parents and she takes pride in finding age-appropriate approaches for each family's dental needs.
In addition to her local work, Dr. Brittany also treats children at the Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium in Juneau and Sitka.
She is active in dental advocacy organizations at the local, state and national levels. She is especially proud to be dental co-director for the annual Seattle/King County Clinic, which provides four days of free care annually to hundreds of adults in need.
Dr. Yoni and Dr. Brittany have been close friends since high school. Both Dr. Bean and Dr. Yoni have recognized Dr. Brittany as a like-minded, compassionate and ethical provider who has an impressive history of leadership and dedication to public service and community-focused care. Dr. Brittany lives with her ridiculously smart and handsome husband, Dr. David Dean (who practices and teaches oral medicine at UW School of Dentistry and at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance) and with their not-so-smart, but adorable, pitbull-mix Calvin.
At Green Leaf Dental, we have years of experience treating pediatric patients. Dr. Yoni was head associate at a pediatric office for 4 years before starting this practice with Dr. Bean. Dr. Brittany holds a master's degree and specialty certification in pediatric dentistry. As a pediatric dentist, she brings a comprehensive knowledge of children's growth and development and is comfortable treating kids with special needs of all kinds.
Our gentle, friendly team will treat your family as an extension of our own and make your child’s visit as comfortable as possible. We also offer amenities, like TV and toys, that will make your little ones feel at home during every appointment.
According to the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, your child should have their first dental appointment by their first birthday — usually when their first tooth begins to erupt. During pediatric visits, Dr. Brittany, Dr. Yoni, and the rest of our friendly team will make your little one feel comfortable and entertained. We’ll assess your child’s dental health, gently clean their teeth, and work with you to develop a positive dental care routine. We can answer any questions you may have, and we always do our best to make sure your child leaves our office with a smile.
